Cat tree
In many cat owners’ homes it’s clear who is in charge- the cat. Every king or queen needs a throne on high on which they can look down on their subjects. A cat tree in the home gives the cat high perches that he can monitor the home from.
A cat tree is another name for a cat tower or cat furniture. They usually extend from the floor to the ceiling and have several perches at various levels. They are usually covered in carpet or sisal rope to attract scratching in the appropriate places.
A cat tree may need to be secured to the floor or ceiling, but many work like a shower rod (tension rod). These cat trees can easily moved with no damage to the floor or ceiling. Some cat trees don’t attach to the ceiling and if this is the case then it’s imperative that the base is heavy and wide enough to support the tree and the cats without becoming unstable.
